Reclaiming the Bounty - by Nigel Erskine January 23, 1790. The voyage of HMS Bounty ends at Pitcairn Island. The Bounty’s last relics. In January 1957, Luis Marden, a writer and photographer for National Geographic was the first person to discover the exact location of the burnt remains of the HMAV Bounty.
