Besides the chickens, the obvious historic significance, the beautifully kept buildings and 150 year old treasures, Fort Nottingham must be the most pristine and serene setting you'll find. Patrick Flanagan
I'm surprised that no-one, to my knowledge, has written a book or made a movie about the events that prompted the British Colonial Authorities to build this the... original building at Fort Nottingham in 1856. Farmers in the area found it necessary to call for troops to protect their cattle herds from San raiders. But I'm sure thats only the skeleton of the story and besides I'm still a rookie at all things historic about the area. Patrick Flanagan See more
