Spotted in a free little library - Belles On Their Toes, a great selection from the Georgetown Steam Plant book club! It follows the adventures of the Gilbreth family after Frank Gilbreth's death, just 17 years after he designed and built the Georgetown Steam Plant.

Today we commemorate the history and contributions of America's indigenous people, particularly the Duwamish, upon whose traditional and unceded lands we live and work. ... #NativeAmericanHeritageDay #gratitude #seattlecitylight https://www.duwamishtribe.org/history

The Port of Seattle and the Seattle Parks Foundation are thrilled to share the new, beautiful, community-sourced names for six Port-owned parks and shoreline habitat sites along the Duwamish River. If you’re able, please join them for the announcement live during the Port of Seattle Commission’s meeting this Tuesday, Oct 27th or, if you can’t make it, they will have a recording of the program shortly after, so you can watch when it is convenient for you. Thank you to everyone who contributed their ideas! Long live the Duwamish!
