Are you wondering what kind of thing you might see at the True Crime Museum? Wonder no more - watch this video to see the kind of interesting things there are to see and do here!
On this day in 1933, the Kray twins were born. Do you think they were fated to be infamous even then? Curl up on the sofa tonight at 11.20pm (Paramount Channel) to watch "Rise of the Krays" a movie described as "The story of Britain's most notorious gangsters, as you've never experienced it, told from the perspective of one of their closest friends. Starting out as amateur boxers, and ending up as infamously brutal criminal masterminds, the Krays were the terror of London throughout the 1960s. Experience the Krays' precipitous rise and fall in this insider's take on their bloody, violent reign". Chips and dips anyone?!
Planning some fun for half term? Bring the kids on our Hunt the Halloween Hacker trail. A mass murder has taken place a serial killer is on the loose! Search the museum for evidence. Identify the Halloween Hacker. (No extra charge on top of standard museum entry. Four legged fur babys free of charge!)
Last tickets remaining for our Halloween Crime Walks on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st, you can book online or by phone. Do you have any better plans for Halloween than listening to tales of dark and grisly deeds?! Check our website for details. (Full refunds if COVID rules tighten).
Looking for something gripping on TV tonight?! The Sky Crime channel is showing a documentary at 8pm about Rodney Alcala, the Dating Game killer, who appeared on the US equivalent of Blind Date in the middle of his killing spree. Want to know how it went? Watch a clip on our cinema movie "Voices of Death". Spoiler alert, he was chosen for the date but the woman chose not to go out with him, claiming he was too creepy (no kidding!)
Free half term fun for all the family here at the True Crime Museum!
On this day in 1941, Fred West was born. Nobody would have guessed then that he would eventually be imprisoned for 12 counts of murder before committing suicide in prison in 1995. Hear him talk about his grisly crimes in our cinema movie "Voices of Death", or pick up this book from our shop for more details of the case.
How exciting the front of our building was included in the current Channel 4 filming for new drama Close to Me! Starring Connie Nielson and Christopher Ecclestone among other talented actors, this 6 part psychological drama is based on the book of the same name by Amanda Reynolds. (With thanks to Tara Tighe and Martin McMorrow for letting us snap them in return!) Watch out for it in the future

Did you know - on this day in 2002, one of the Hillside Stranglers died in a U.S prison aged 67. Angelo Buono Jr was jointly convicted of the gruesome killings of 10 women and girls over a 5 month period in the late 70's. His trial was the most expensive one ever in U.S history at the time. His partner in crime (cousin Kenneth Bianchi) is 41 years into his life sentence. Maybe catch one of the films made about the case, with a bucket of popcorn tonight?
