We are proud to offer free admission the rest of November for all veterans and active duty. In addition, bring one guest for half off! We are open this week as we host the c-49 Wildkat through Thursday. The Wildkat will be back at the museum this afternoon once it flies in the veterans day parade.
Coming this Saturday!!
This Saturday at 10:00 am, Harold Lehman will attempt the Folds of Honor Fitness Challenge at the Tulsa Air & Space Museum. Harold will complete 300 pull-ups, run 6.6 miles, bench press 185 pounds ten times, run another 6.6 miles, and finish with 1000 push-ups. That's right, 1000 push-ups. In addition to this challenge there will be live music, a food truck, small car show, and of course the museum! Tulsa Air & Space Museum will provide a free planetarium show for each guest who makes a donation to Folds of Honor. In addition to the planetarium show, each guest also receives a $5.00 discount off regular admission. Of course, members are free! Can't make it to the event? Check out this cool video from EVERYDAY ASTRONAUT.... Our Shuttle Crew Compartment Trainer (CCT-2) is in the background!! The CCT-2 will arrive at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum in 2021 via barge from Houston up the Mississippi and Arkansas Rivers to the Port of Tulsa!!! ... Oklahoma Astronaut Dr. John Herrington will travel on the barge to share this most exciting adventure. Dr. Herrington was Mission Specialist for Shuttle Mission STS-113, and trained in the CCT-2. Dr. Herrington has exciting experiences to share, and we will be bringing them to the museum for everyone to enjoy and learn. How exciting!! Want to be part of this exciting venture? Two Oklahoma astronauts served missions on SkyLab, the first space station. This award winning documentary features Own Garriott and Bill Pogue during SkyLab program. We are working with the creator of this documentary to hopefully bring it to our planetarium theatre in 2021.
