Among Thieves by M.J. Kuhn!
This is a book that almost everybody at the Metropolitan Bookstore has read. We have a policy that we put a short review beneath the book for every staff member that has read it, but as you can imagine that got ridiculous pretty quickly with this one.
Among Thieves is about a group of – you guessed it – thieves who are sent on a mission to steal one of the most powerful artifacts of all time. And wouldn’t you know it, everyone in the crew wants the artefact for themselves. If you like fantasy with a lot of inevitable backstabbing and tense heists, add this to your to-be-read list, then move it straight to the top.
If you’re a little hesitant because fantasy books tend to be long hauls, worry not! Clocking in at a fair bit under 400 pages, Among Thieves is approachable in length for anybody who got through To Kill a Mockingbird in high school. Among Thieves is M.J. Kuhn’s debut, and what a debut it turned out to be! With a phrase like ‘International Bestseller’ behind this one, you can flip open the pages knowing you’re in for an excellent ride.
